We have previously funded this life-changing piece of equipment for a few of our young people, however we are looking for further funding to be able to purchase more acheeva’s to benefit more young people with complex health needs alongside a bone condition.
An Acheeva is an inclusive piece of equipment that allows an individual to have a change of position while supporting the body in supine, prone or side lying positions to support the body posture and respiratory functions. The Acheeva is battery operated to adjust the height, back angle, bed angles and tilt-in-space allowing changes of position without any physical effort to enhance communication and interaction. The Acheeva also features large castor style wheels, this is a huge benefit as the individual can be moved from room to room with very little effort.
