Our Project Development Officer, Myles, has been super busy over the past year designing an accessible gaming pack that will allow our young people to access the gaming world. Myles has tried two different adaptive controllers, however, is currently using the Nintendo Switch Hori Controller alongside the Nintendo Switch, plugged into the television. Myles also has joysticks and switches to assist with playing games. He is making a pack which contains information on which switches need to be plugged into the Hori Controller to play different Nintendo Switch games. Soon, Myles will trial the Xbox Adaptive Controller with an Xbox console. He is using his contacts to find which Xbox games would work the best with the XAC. Myles has built positive communication links with gaming professional that provide adaptive controllers.
Once Myles is 100% happy with the Accessible Gaming Pack, we will secure funding and roll this out to our young people who are interested in online gaming but cannot access it.
