Bethan aged fourteen suffers with brittle bone disease and has sustained many fractures and numerous surgeries as a result. She also has scoliosis and has had her spine fused. She has rods in her legs to try and prevent them from fracturing any further. Her then current NHS wheelchair did not allow her to be independent like her friends as she was too weak to self-propel herself in such a heavy chair. We are pleased to have provided £5853 towards the cost of her new quickie helium wheelchair.
