The Hemraj Goyal foundation have donated a further £2,328.33 to Strongbones to assist two individuals. On the 2nd August Avnish & Anita Goyal were married and in honour of the day they requested charity gift donations to ourselves and the Lilly Foundation. The opportunity of helping others was the best gift that they felt could receive as a couple on their special day. I am sure you will agree that this was a beautiful gesture for the newlyweds to make, and we were very overwhelmed when we heard the news. The Money was used to purchase a p-pod, accessories, wheelbase and a specially adapted trike . Anita Goyal and two of HGF’s youth group member took time out to come along and meet one of the families to present them with a cheque along with our Grants Officer April . We would like to take this opportunity to thank HGF for their continued support and all their efforts with helping a huge range of good causes.
HGF is a very special and unique foundation. The Hemraj Goyal Foundation (HGF) was established in 2010 as a family-run foundation, led by the youth of the family with contributions from the elder family members. They are passionate about helping disadvantaged areas of society in order to help improve the quality of peoples’ lives. The foundation aims to achieve this by providing financial and human resources to charities that are already making a huge difference both in the UK and abroad.
The foundation has been created in memory of the father and grandfather of members of the founding team. Hemraj Goyal arrived in the UK from India forty years ago with the vision of a better life for his family. This vision, as well as his hard work and determination, has inspired not only his children but his grandchildren, friends and extended family to have boundless ambition.
They are unique in that they are led by a Youth Team, made up of Hemraj Goyal’s grandchildren. The average age of the Youth Team is 17, with the youngest member being just 8 years old! As a family, inspired by Hemraj Goyal, They aim to leave a legacy of a family united by a passion to help others, that will inspire others for generations to come.
